It is 11:00PM Saturday night, 300 people have randomly gathered around a kicking sound system and video screen. Music videos are playing, disco balls are spinning and a full light show is blazing. It was like taking all the presents out from under the tree on December 25th and putting them back in your closet. That is the closest way I can describe the crushing disappointment felt when a NASCAR race is called off due to rain roughly 2 minutes from the start. To further this disappointment, imagine being 5 hours from home and knowing that there is no way you can stay an extra day to watch the race Monday. Continue reading

This past weekend I had the opportunity to head down to Watkins Glen International Raceway in New York State to witness the Heluva Good! Sour Cream Dips at the Glen. It was a race filled weekend featuring the Grand-Am Rolex Series Crown Royal 200 on Friday, the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200 on Saturday and finally the NASCAR Sprint Cup Heluva Good Sour Cream Dips at the Glen on Sunday.
