Key Developments 1999:

-  Chrysler Corporation kills off its division Eagle. The cancellation is due to poor sales.

-  Ford buys Volvo’s automotive arm, adding another luxury brand to its portfolio.

-  Ford unveils new options such as back-up warning sensors and power adjustable pedals.

-  Oldsmobile Eighty-Eight and Buick Rivera are in their last year with General Motors.

Wider IS Better!

Not too long ago a 245mm width tire was deemed large. However, things have gotten out of hand today as car manufacturers push for wider and wider rubber.

Even the Smart Car can come with a 215/35R17.   So, it seems that to make and impression, and possibly grip, with your ultra-performance car today, you need at least a 300mm width series tire.

Corvettes, Corvettes, and more Corvettes!

The Corvette Club of Ontario is running a display honouring….guess what….the Corvette.

Along with many of the clubs personal classics, GM has been kind enough to lend a few Corvettes from their heritage museum. This includes an original 1953 Corvette, a 1997 Corvette featuring serial #00001 and two historic concepts.
