This gallery contains 7 photos.

The Toyota RAV4 debuted in 1996, making it one of the originators of the “cute-ute” compact SUV segment, along with the Suzuki Sidekick and Honda CR-V. Through its first two generations, it was indeed compact, but the third generation, underwent a significant transformation into a vehicle verging on mid-size crossover territory.

2006-2011 BMW 3 Series

This gallery contains 7 photos.

Most reviews of the BMW 3 Series include two things: a reference by the reviewer to the car being the most desirable in its class, and comments from readers that BMW must be paying auto writers for so many unanimously positive opinions of the car.

2005 – 2010 Chrysler 300

This gallery contains 7 photos.

Chrysler, it seems, is perpetually in financial trouble, a strange thing for a company that has been capable of producing successful vehicles. A far better name for a car, don’t you think? I do, and that’s why I’m glad Kia ditched the Magentis badge when the third generation (2011) version of this car was launched.

This gallery contains 6 photos.

In 1984, Toyota and General Motors launched New United Motor Manufacturing, Inc. (NUMMI), a joint venture that allowed Toyota to establish a manufacturing facility in the United States. It also benefited GM, as it allowed the American company to sell Toyota-engineered products under its own brands’ banners.
