The legendary Henry Ford, the man who started Ford Motor Company had a saying, “Give me a baby or a puppy and I can sell anything.”
Automobile manufacturers these days however employ a rather different approach to attract customers, and that is by hiring beautiful women to enhance the quality of their display.
This trend actually started in the 1950’s in America when the “Motorama’s” (as auto shows were called back then) used to roll into towns. People flocked to the shows to not only see the wild and crazy concept cars of the era, but also the beautiful women that would adorn the stage.
These days it’s the European car firms who best understand the idea behind booth beauties, as Fiat owned Chrysler has shown recently. They had a beautiful girl to go with pretty much every car on their display. Fiat is afterall an Italian company, and the Italians do understand style.
Here is a gallery of the beautiful women working in Toronto at the 2010 Canadian International Auto Show. Enjoy!
I was at the Toronto 2010 Canadian International Auto and didn’t see women next-to the cars.
There’s something beautiful about a beautiful women and a beautiful car…
The beautiful woman beside the car leads the prospective buyer to subconciously (most of the time) believe that this too could be theirs. I ought to know – I’m one of them and its never worked once :))
Those pics arent from the Toronto show..most likely the Detroit one..shame, there should be girls at the Toronto one
