Any gearhead or car nut has dreamt of being a race car driver at some point in their life. The problem is, very few can afford to support their own racing endeavours and even fewer make it professionally.

So, what do we common folk do to unleash our inner Michael Schumacher? Well, racing on the streets is not only dangerous but incredibly stupid and most of us do not own our own race track. So that leaves just one thing…..track days.

As posted a few weeks ago, the American Le Mans Series was at Mosport International Raceway August 27th-30th. Although it was the weekend’s marquee series and race, there was more going on then just the ALMS. As side for concerts and vendors, several other series are run that same weekend. These other races are referred to as support series.

But don’t be fooled. Just because they are support series does not mean they are any less entertaining, competitive or spectacular.

ALMS Invades Mosport

The 8th Stop for the American Le Mans Series

The American Le Mans Series race took place at Mosport this past weekend. Despite the less then favourable weather conditions, fans turned out by the thousands.

Torrential rains Saturday, blistering winds Sunday and cool temperatures all weekend kept things interesting for the race teams. More then a few teams left the weekend with bent race cars.
