It’s not often that a manufacturer’s auto show display will have 3 generations of one car model (and all for sale in the same year too). But Volkswagen has it;

the current Rabbit (Golf V), the City Golf (Golf IV) and the upcoming new Golf (Golf VI). Besides the golf party, Volkswagen has all their other models at CIAS including the new Touareg TDI, recently introduced Routan and the Tiguan.
Touring the Mazda Display at CIAS

Mazda wins hands down for the largest turntable at CIAS. No other manufacturer attempted the ’3 Car Turntable’ except for Mazda.

Aside from the gargantuan turntable, Mazda’s big news at CIAS is the world premiere of the 2010 refreshed CX-7 CUV. It was nice to get a world premiere at CIAS, thanks Mazda.
Touring the Suzuki Display at CIAS

The big news for Suzuki this year is the Equator. Being displayed front and center you can see its Frontier roots.

Touring the Land Rover/Jaguar Display at CIAS

Jaguar and Land Rover get the short end of the stick at CIAS this year. They have to display their vehicles right across the aisle from Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.

They did bring their best to CIAS though, with the likes of the Supercharged Jaguar XKR and XFR as well as Jag’s other models.
Touring the Subaru Display at CIAS

Subaru is going green. At least that is the idea they seem to be pushing at their CIAS display this year.

Front and center is the G4e concept car. It is a vehicle that is hard to miss because of its bright green paint job.
Touring the Honda Display at CIAS

Walking around CIAS this year it is easy to see which companies are doing ok. Honda’s large elaborate display is in far contrast to the stark displays featured by some of the other manufacturers.

Honda upped the ‘green’ component by bringing both the 2010 Insight hybrid and the FC Sport hydrogen concept vehicle.
Touring the Acura Display at CIAS

Acura has a nice and classy display this year at CIAS. However, it is absolutely dwarfed by its bigger brother, Honda.

This is not to say that there is not an important new vehicle being displayed this year. The 2010 TL is front and center featuring styling that is quite a departure from previous TL’s.

Chevrolet dominated the GM booth at CIAS this year. Quite possibly, they had as much floor space as the rest of the GM divisions combined.

It was fitting because Chevrolet is making a lot of news these days. Of course, a version of one of the entire automotive industries biggest news makers is on display, the Chevrolet Volt.

Like most manufactures at the show, Hyundai has a ‘Green’ vehicle for the future. Their future vehicle idea is the FCEV Hydrogen SUV.
