As mentioned in this article, Canada loves compact cars. The Chevrolet Cobalt, like the Cavalier before it, has been one of the top 4 selling cars in Canada for years. So when GM was ready to bring out the Cobalt in 2005, Pontiac dealers in Canada demanded they got more then just a coupe. Thus, the Pontiac G5 (then Pursuit) sedan was born. It isn’t really all that unique. It is basically a Cobalt sedan featuring the grill, gauges, badges and seating material from the G5 coupe.
