Much like the Buick Allure, the Kia Magentis is just simply a name change. Why did Kia drop the name Optima in Canada and use Magentis? I’m not too sure and a quick search on Google didn’t reveal the answer. The only differences between the Magentis and Optima over the years have been some reworked grills.
